In action for the WWP equinox event, March 2006

In action

Here I am in action on the beach of Ouddorp, a little town on the isle of Goeree Overflakkee, The Netherlands, to shoot images for the WWP equinox event in March 2006.

I shot many sets of 4 images round (no topshot) with a Canon 350D camera, Sigma8 lens, 360P panohead, and a Manfrotto 755B tripod.

Thanks to my ZAPshot wireless remote controller I could avoid that my shade was visible in the image in front of me by walking a few meters aside and into the sea. Hence my wet trousers. Needless to say that in no time my rubber boots were filled with very cold sea water !

The making of the pano was not easy.
Unfortunately I couldn't use HDRI. I tried but because the environment is not as static as required for a good result, I had to squeeze a single set of RAWs to get every useful bit out of it. A nearly impossible job !

The pano I created is the best I could make in this difficult situation, I hope that after reading this you will understand why the quality is at best "medium".

Click here to see the mediumsize pano, here for the fullsize pano, and here to see a map of the location.

Enjoy watching all those beautiful panos on the WWP site.

Best regards, Wim Koornneef.
